they savor
every morsel

hungering craw
needing

squawking
to announce
arrival

descending in unison
blanketing the zebra's carcass
beaks tearing
the meager scraps
from the bones
welcome
sustenance

at natures
all too sparse table
each creature know its place
crow has a place reserved
