i don’t love you like i used to anymore.

i used to love you
blindly

like a child
loving a candy
or popsicle.

i love you maturely
like i want to spend
the rest of my life with you,
grow old with you,
everything.

i am willing to argue,
be mad at you,
hate you,

and

adore you,
forgive you,
wait for you.
i no longer love you like how a child loves a new toy.
i love you like i love you forever and ever until the end of time.
