Dead To Me
Dead To Me
Everything that came before
Is just a vision in the rear view
Faded away like a dream or
A vision in the misty morning dew
When your hand reached out for me
It gave me a reason to live
It was your forgiveness and love
That helped me heal and forgive
But with a heart so broken
And the shadow that was cast
Like a snake shedding its skin
I was slow to shed my past
As the picture of the painting
Began to become clear
I was able to see all the Angles
That you sent to be near
And everything had to open
My eyes so that I could see
I had to become dead to myself and
The past Had to become Dead To Me
