At 16 I thought I knew what Love was
at 74 still don't have a ******* clue
my compass points magnetic north
at midnight's sky muted black and blue.

Lust was our hearts' magic gravity brought
us into our biological and chemical orbit
around universe's endless carouselΒ Β until
our worlds collide and write our final obit.
