Mar 2023
Sunlight crawls through a misty glen,
dawn chorus peals from the canopies,
river whispers lull the scarlet fox
who lies asleep on russet leaves.

Meadowlark cries
from weathered blue skies
and drifts between the fragmented gleams.

Windswept dances
of leafy willow branches
slip upon the surface of a stream.
A secret glade kissed with happy dreams.
