I don't know
what it feels like
to be crippled by fear.
To always look for flaws
within me
and my choices.

All I know is
when I look into your green eyes
I don't see peace
I see a storm ripping leaves off branches
Making you hold on
to what gave you life in the past.

And that's when I understand.
Because nothing is scarier
than letting go and trusting
that the wind will carry you
until you're home
with me.
