O' what a gentle kiss could do...
If kisses kiss then I'll kiss you...

If oceans sink in you they store
Or fires burn they burn a lie:
As birdies go to you they soar
If clouds are rain they rain behind:
If oceans swoon and at night sway,
The moon inside still shines your face:
As suns that set and end the days
The smile on you remains the same:

O' what a gentle kiss could do...
If kisses kiss then I'll kiss you...

If mountains climb they climb the sky!
Or landscapes green in leaves that grow,
Or planets larger than all life!
But largest all would seem your soul!

O' what a gentle kiss could do...
If kisses kiss then I'll kiss you...

I'll kiss you! I'll kiss you the merry more!
Till dawn or time or that whatever place!
Until the night is only more!
Or corpses rot and interlace!

O' what the gentle kiss can do!
If kisses kiss then I'll kiss you...
