Rise and Fall of Icarus
Icarian in nature
We rise till we burnout
The hierarchy inherits
Our uncommon wealth
Grave markers parish
In the forgetfulness of time
We are merely
Used up building blocks
As evolution unwinds
Dissolving
Our consciousness diminishes
Cascading façade
Oozing into the
Muck of wonder
Recycle bin
Take us home
Once again!
