I put the pills back into the glass bottle
and drank the water from the glass I held in my hand.
Wiped the tears off and loved the sense of cleanliness in my eyes.
I looked at your picture and tried to feel you warmth around me.
I lied down gently, imagining my arms were wrapped around you.
With every breath I accepted the inevitability of life,
And my total unwillingness to disappear.
Can you really disappear?
