Water gently crashing during low tide
Listening to the pleasant chime
Staring at the waves, I lose all sense of time
Images of her flood my mind, of us side by side

Happiness and sadness both collide
Memories of her crash against the shore uncovering a layer of grime
Crashing in my mind, causing the pain she caused to climb
Images of her subside, but yet, I cried

Why did she do that to me?
My love and affection was nothing to her
Waves in my heart grow stronger and swallowed my mind

My heart aches while staring at the sea
Dreaming of what things could have been, but never were
Waves crashing, so beautiful, yet unkind
