i.  Seven words and she’ll fall in love. I’ve been told that’s all it takes.

ii. I didn’t know it would be you. But that’s the funny thing about love. You see, when we first met, my heart didn’t race the way it does now. My stomach wasn’t filled with butterflies. My face wasn’t flushed. But, to me, you were always gorgeous. I just didn’t see you that way.

iii. At first you were an alien beauty. A lone planet waiting to be discovered. And to a lonely astronaut the allure of a foreign body was enough to draw me into your orbit. But that was a mere shallow, superficial, and scientific, interest. It wasn’t until I explored the depths of your oceans and caves, the vastness of your fields and planes before I realised that I was missing something. The three words to make seven ten.
I’m in love.

iv. If I’m honest, it felt like love. Hidden, valuable, much sought and seldom found. Love. If the sun’s the center of our solar system, then you’re the center of mine. Everything always seemed to revolve around you. All the songs were about you… about us. All my thoughts were about you… about us. All I could ever talk about was you… was us. You were the last thought on my mind before I went to sleep, the first when I awoke. You were there in my dreams keeping me company as we danced amongst the stars. I was, I am, and I forever will be loving you. If I could tell you, I would. I love you.

v. She doesn’t know it when I say: “I am at your service, my lady”. Those were seven words, did it work? Does she love me too? Again I try: “Do you want to go out tonight?” - “I’d love to.” Wait… did she just complete my seven? Again I try: “So what exactly are we doing tonight?” - “I don’t know.” She did it again, did you see? She completed me. We spent 7 nights a week together. We walked the city streets by starlight. But no star could ever outshine you. The seven wonders of the world paled against you. You were the bounce in my step. My soul, my rhythm, my muse. The soft tone and shape of your voice could calm storms. One loving glance tamed the wildest beasts. Your soothing touch warmed the hardest hearts. A single kiss would be like heaven. Do you know?

vi. I love you, I think you know. But you’ve said nothing, I don’t know. I know your secrets, I know your voice. I know your sorrows, I know your joys. Your favourite things, humor, music, your footstep I take in stride. I know you. But I don’t know if you love me. I spend all my waking hours with you, and in my sleep I dream dreams of you. Of all the cosmic entropy, I had the pleasure and luck of finding you. Of all my scientific endeavours, discovering our chemistry is my most treasured. Of all the mysteries in the world, your heart I wish to solve. If I’m honest, it feels like love.

vii. You rest your head on my shoulder. And cuddle close. “Please tell me, I need to know.” - “I love you.”
