Apr 2020
she straightened her hair
and painted her face with
just the right concoction.

she picked out her clothes
staring at her closet with
nerves and anger.

for once, she just wanted
someone to love her
all of her

not the made up, revealing, night on the town her.
the real her.
sweatpants, messy bun her.

she wanted the freedom to be real.
she didn't want to hide anymore
