Love is the only reason I have
that keeps me from
clawing out my eyes
and putting a loaded gun
in my mouth.
Though I may be
blinded by the fire
of life and deafened by
the cold of death,
your lips greet me so tender and so right,
it’s as if the heavens condense into you
each night.

Curls of blue form a sea
whose waves prance in a cacophony of bassy riffs
while I lay chained
to a lighthouse’s base,
drowning in the feelings you give me
despite my ease of
swimming.

Baby, smile like you mean me no good and then give these eyes a glance as though they were made of ice.

I’m tired of being nice-
**** me and take me to that special den
where I can breathe freely and dance
to the tune of you...

Again
and
Again
and
Again.
