Poems
Dec 2019
the thrill of the grill
6a.m. to 2:00
the diner is open
a little ***** in the morning
so sometimes she burns
the hash browns
eggs
always soggy
her black shirt and pants
the black shirt and pants
that at one time
showed off
her ***
so well
too tight now
like a snake about
to shed its skin
"sometimes I see him in the mall,"
she often talks to herself,
"I ask him if he d like to meet his son.
I don t know why he thought
that
I did nt want to marry him anyway,"
she s *******
flips the hamburger
watches itΒ Β
slowly
peeling off the ceiling
a black moon coming down
