solitary mindscapes vast unchartered deserts
a thirst for truth a thirst for freedom waits
waits to be quenched upon silent dried lips
an ocean of need an ocean to drown in
some poetry some song to ease the vacuum
a void deep as the universe deep as the soul
deeper still and deeper and still deeper, deeper.
