There's a strange sheen of clarity
That is wrapped around my brain
The slightest mist that does it's best
To keep me this side of sane
If I don't cling to it tightly
It all begins to wain
This strange sheen of clarity
That is wrapped around my brain

There's a strange sheen of clarity
That follows me around
Will not tell me where it's been
Nor even where it's bound
It shows itself for what it's worth
Then goes back underground
This strange sheen of clarity
That follows me around

There's a strange sheen of clarity
That wont let itself be known
Leaves you searching for shelter
In a rain storm all alone
When the bell tolls at midnight
It is the perfect tone
This strange sheen of clarity
That wont let itself be known
I want to thank *Michelle* for this idea...
She's a wonderful poet in her own right...check her out!
