Feb 2020
and there by that exquisite pool,
finishing my last lap,
i saw you wading
through the turquoise waters,
your sculpted brown arms
moving faster
and faster,
your toned legs
hitting the water,
and your eyes
on me.
and that’s when i realised
that your goal was not
the finish line
like mine was,
your goal
was me.
