It would be unnecessary
to apologise to life or to explain
for thoughts conceived or what was done--
the stoical heart could bear any mortal pain

rising above the tyranny of destiny
purpose and meaning there awaits to attain
from the drought of despair and misery
there shall be the sprouting bloom and harvest of the grain.
