You built strong, tall, burdensome walls around you
And you stay there all day in the darkness

I don’t know what you went through
But I think it shattered your heart, broke it so much, you felt you needed to enclose it, and throw away the key to your prison

Trust me, please
I would light a thousand and one candles for you
I’d lovingly take apart your cage brick by brick
I’d love you till your heart was whole again

I want you to be free

But you want to stay...
