Jim Kelly inherited the land
from his parents, who, may
I add, were model farmers.

Jim is making no hand of it,
sometimes the cows are not
milked until late, they cry.

The gate rusted out, hinges
of bailing twine, his solution
was to block it with a hay bale.

This morning I met the herd
on the road outside the milking
parlour, they ate their way out.
