Capturing Lines of poetry Before they fall To the ground and S A T H T E R Into a mumble-jumble Of meaningless letters
Trying to figure out What I am feeling What I want to say In this S L W R I Of intangible emotions That I must put to words
Us poets understand That crawling feeling The need to get feelings down on paper To make sense of what we DON’T KNOW. What we want to know Before the thought slips our mind
Poems are creatures They are extremely shy And when they come to you, They will escape as fast as they can Write them down before they leave You must be their only escape From the torturous world That they come from
Inspired by a poem by Gabriele called “Untitled”. It looks like this:
Untitled
Capturing this moment before it runs through my fingers Capturing it in a tentative line of an unborn poem -Gabriele
