The day I
saw you I just
knew there was
something so
good and special
about you.
It was a
cold beautiful
Friday morning.
You snuggled
on a couch
beside a fireplace
reading an African
poetry book.
Unaware of my
presence.
Unruffled by the
noise in the room.
It was dark and
drizzling with
thunderstorm
shattering the sky.
Only a flicker
and glow from
outside flashing
into our space.
Our host puts
on a symphony
orchestra by Mozart.
Who would have
thought that our
hearts and lives
would have merged
and blended together
by a piece of music
for a lifetime walk.
That beautiful music,
like a spell,
mysteriously and
unwittingly caused
magic to happen
that night.
There was a
thunderbolt and
our eyes met
as if there was
an internal pull
our hearts interlocked.
It was such a beautiful
unforgettable moment.
