Desolation
Today I said, "I love you, and I want you to be happy."
She hugged me, and I could feel her hands shaking on my back,
and then she walked away.
I wonder if she could hear my heart break.
Not in two, but into a thousand little pieces,
for every time I fell in love with her.
Today was awful.
