There is a God in Heaven I know it deep inside For He has carried me across the great divide And though in His grasp I struggle Not knowing on jagged rocks I can fall He only tightens His hold on me through time, all in all And His grasp may be harsh or gentle But it’s always assuredly strong To show no matter when I fall, I will not fall for long For He tells me Heaven’s on my side And love’s His safety net And I believe it, for though I may curse Him, He carries me nonetheless And He looks not only into my eyes But into me as a whole He says He’s the Alpha and Omega, the holder of my soul And maybe someday I’ll stop struggling And look into His eyes And see the Creator of me created my blue skies Fr there is a God in Heaven I know it deep inside For even now He carries me across the great divide
This is one of my older poems... 2005-ish, I'd like to say...
