The Streets Go On
There is no end
To this long road
Down these streets
I walk alone
They're broken and damaged
But it's the only way
To breathe and to smile
This is the price I must pay
I can't wait
On this side for long
I know that now
I know I was wrong
The street is long
This I have willed
The street has no end
It cannot be filled
So I keep crossing
Believing this is right
Across the street
Is the only light
Sure there is you
You hold me back
But you cannot stop me
If it's will that I lack
I will not lead
Down the dark road
Down something new
Something unknown
So cross with me
Hold me tight
See me through
This unending night
So I'll cross the street
Fill it too
Never down the road
That I cannot do
But if the time comes
And I must decide
Let me go
For I will not hide
Down this road
Will be the last test
In this dark world
The final quest
So love me now
Hold me dear
For I cannot breathe
I'm full of fear
Across the street
Or down the road
No longer are they
A world unknown
So the street goes on
And I must, too
I'll fill the roads
If only to breathe like you
