For my little sparrow, Tatiana!

As my Daddy was filling his car up with gas,
I noticed a crying little lass,
I walked up to her and asked what was the matter;
"Because" said she. And before another word she could utter she cried more loud and looked sadder.

A flock of birds flew above where she was sitting up into the maple tree,
To comfort her I sat down beside she,
"Don't you know God loves you?
"Why is it you look so sad and blue?"

"Because I hate to see the day die,
And it's almost dead now." Said she and heaved a crying sigh.
"Tell Jesus what troubles you
"Then you will not feel so blue."

She jumped up and asked "You really think He would do that for me?
"Make me see how the day wouldn't pass by so quickly?"
"I am sure he could,
"In fact I know he would!

"Well, I had best be going now,
Remember Jesus will show you how."
These last words I uttered,
"I am so happy I'll ask Him now!" The happy lass muttered.
