I must let you go, before I hold you in my arms again
Before I let my tears fall, unable to hide this excruciating pain.
Before I hold onto those tender hands
As cold and ***** as they were,
And I must give you one last kiss
Before I let my heart break over and over, I dare!
Remember me, maybe?
Maybe write a few more letters,
Or just stay! I plead.
Those starlit nights feel so void, so cold
Only your warmth in my arms is all I need.
Don't worry, my love. I won't let my agony get in your way,
I might cry, I might die, but I'll never beg you again to stay.
So I must let you go, before those tears come rushing in,
As I leave those tender hands, so cold
I know I'll never feel that touch, not even in my dreams!
