As the sun goes down,
I won’t hold my breath.
Never going to let the darkness fill me once again.
I won’t look back to the past that left me broken.
I was once blind, but now my eyes are open.

I’m going to chase the sun as if it’s the only thing left for me to do.
I’ll follow my heart and let it lead me where I am destined to.
Leave all my worries and just rise above these tears.
I’ll be patient with myself as I continue to heal.

When darkness comes, I’ll wait to see
the sunrise that gives hope to me.
Another day knocks at my door, I will try to lift myself up once more.
