Everyday is Mother's day,
Sweet, Golden, dear,
Bruises to kiss and cuts to wrap,
And wishes: Hope your day holds cheer;
Helpful ways never asked,
And drooping souls to hurry;
Gifts to open and meals to plan,
There's no time to worry.

But mistakes bloom on to Wisdom,
Waiting grows power,
And love, that was the reason,
Is a wage for each lonely, and sad hour.
And everyday Daddy and Daughter make willful and sweet,
Hastens the time till that great day
When hope and haste meet.
