She gazed up at him with tears in her eyes
They weren't just tears of pain
Her heart pushed against her chest
His eyes such a mixture of emotion
"Sorry" he said, again and again
"It's okay" she whispers, a crack in her voice
"We both knew this was going to hurt"
Tears kept dribbling as muscles strain
He wiped them away with his thumb
They became closer and closer
Every action leaving a stain
"Trust me, it will get better"
"I trust you" she said.
