This couldn't  be true--you'll agree
I wrote a nonsense 'poem' called THE DAY
A few readers replied in a jiffy
And remarked: It's OK!

Henceforth no serious verse (in any tense)
Should I write---nonsense is much easier
Wouldn't it be nice if life were non--sense
Then wouldn't everyone of us be much happier?
