Alas
At last
To the ground am I laid
My end thus reached
My body decayed
To the forest floor
Like the leaves of autumn
Do I lie in wait
To sink to the bottom
Below the black dirt
And roots of the trees
To sink ever further
With acceptance and ease
Back to Creation
From where I once came
Returned to the Earth
And thusly reclaimed
