Is there such a thing as being 'too forgiving'  ?

Yes, because I'm an example.

People will walk all over me,
trampling me into the dirt

Pushing and shoving,
slapping and punching

Pulling my hair,
ripping the locks into shreds

Tearing me into tiny pieces,
that I, myself, will have to mend together once again

But I'll get up,
brush off the dirt,
put bandaids on the cuts,
run a hand through my hair,

"I'm sorry."

And I'll be the one to apologize
