Is it being displeased or pleased with the way you look Perhaps fancying a bit of a nip and tuck Is it taking time with your appearance everyday Does it show in the way you hold yourself upright, or is that you being uptight Is it in the way you talk to others or in the way you present yourself Is it hidden within you, left on the shelf Is it the way you smile at the camera, turning the spotlight on you Is it noticeable in all that you do Is vanity simply the art of taking care of the way you look, like designing the jacket of a good book Is it really bad to look in the mirror andΒ Β like what you see or is this purely vanity?
Going through surgery to have a tooth implant in time for my sons wedding at the end of March (lost tooth when run over in the summer), taking a lot of painkillers and antibiotics at the moment and it got me thinking about whether this was all in the sake of vanity and was it worth it. Actually as I am restoring something lost I don't actually consider it vanity and hopefully come the day I will be able to. Smile and therfore it will all be worth it.
