She's waiting for me there
Lovely as always
A warm afternoon glow
Adorns her patient face

The scent of summer berries
Faintly reaches out
From her long silky hair
Carried by a gentle breeze

Sometimes I think I smell it
Though I know she is far away
Making me all the more eager
To find that hidden place

Where she patiently waits
For me to one day find her
