You had those good times
And some were bad
You were young and crazy, rather mad
All those things you did in your prime
Drinking whisky and too much wine.
That one hit wonder and musical blunders
Oh that Rocky road did thunder.
You toured everywhere, everyday
In concert halls you made it pay.
That was so many years ago
You settle now for smaller shows
In that strange old world called Rock and Roll
Yet fifty years passed, you're carrying on
Still singing all those same old songs
Just where have all those good times gone?
It seems those days have flown away
Now newer bands have their say
But they must never forget you paved the way.
So come on now, sing your songs
Let them see that the band plays on.
A little tribute to all those one hit wonders of the early sixties band who are still playing even now.
