After Thought
Wish we'd go back in time
To that place,
Warmed in the presence
Of his space.
Held in the lock of
His kiss,
Melt in the shock of
His kiss.
Like dried kindling
We burst into flames,
Love and lust kindling
He played no games.
But playing together
Tied by a tether,
This Love
A Storm Couldn't Weather.
Never thought
Not for second,
But that second got caught.
In my heart
You became an after thought.
