..Trees prepare to sleep
in the quiet of winter.
In their bare skeletons
to have leaves replaced by sparkling flakes.

Trees ready themselves
serenading passer-byes with their colorful leaves
reminding change is in the air.

Trees in their elegance
make me pause
appreciating the giants small and large

They are our neighbors
gifts from our Mother Earth..
