If you're anything like me
You wear this mask,
this mask of layers
To hide yourself
        your feelings
              your heart
It's like your own shell of safety,
you don't come out for many people
in fear of getting hurt yet again
But when you do,
everything changes. It's inevitable.
And it makes you want to just crawl
back inside and never open up again.
