Ninety-eight hundred thousand zillions of years
of grace upon grace wheel upon wheel
the deign playfully brilliantly adaptively
ethical when you design a world
what could be more practical
in theory and execution
than this- this natured
orb spinning 'round
cold and warm calm
also hysterical-
and non-feeling;
the answers to that mystery
in her fierceness of turning a head
as the lion kills to survive and we
with upper cerebellums
just now evolved to see
close our eyes to the meat case supermarket and how
those calves arrived there
and we smile smack our lips
gnaw teeth deep into flesh
as long as it not our own
the cruelty just is a part of life
and life is so fleeting
and us as thinking beings
need to
think about it
