“Wir sind eine Familie.”

A cluttered freight yonder,
Fleeting sparks; a kissed cinder.
And to its remembrance;
forever lit, iridescent.

Echoes in fractions,
Leftover paints; patience,
Riddance; a touch to tip,
Fragments to keep;

And spirits to sip.

If ever a mirror glints,
and finds you pain;
When nightmares cue,
and you might feel blue;

Remember so

that we’ll never be apart.

“Hasten in joy, for the night awaits.”
A little poem for a bittersweet farewell.
