Jun 2017
to town with another
just had to
walk
mother warned me father
said no
futures are awakening after no more pasts
are all my dreams
sister grabbed my wrist
I walked
away looking at the fields trying
to remember them
my Labrador kept up halfway to town
as another car
rode by dust obliterating
the shadows
I didn't think I'd never go back home
