We all love the idea of evil
The aesthetic of darkness
But when the demons take over your body
Don’t give them your soul
Because they won’t stop there
They’ll take your mind and take your whole life
And they’ll make you bow to your reflection
And say
Thank you
And leave your shell with a piece of them left behind
And one day you wonder
Where all this blood came from
The knife in your hand steps back from the scene
And your skin begins to feel what the knife took in its hunger
And you shake
And they give you pills to forget
But still you shake
And soon it’s not the pills that put you to sleep every night
But the promise of one day ending the pain
