Trance
Enchantress
Take a chance tonight

Grasses bend and wave
Smoke plays with the moon
That light coming through
From where its arms can’t reach
Gray and blue

God has lit a trillion candles
Flames flicker off the mantle
The scent of wood perfumes
While its warmth consumes

Under cover
Where skin slides so smooth
Whispering words
I can’t quite make from you
Something says you’re sorry
Others say I love you too

Are we dreaming?
What’s happening in this quiet room?
Laying in dark
My eyes closed
And it feels like I’m not alone

My eyes won’t open
My body can’t let it go
Just one more moment
To lay here with you
I can feel the hair
Brush across my face
I know my lips are dry
But why is it you I taste?
