Shocked was I, when I found out
That you intended harm
I guess only bitterness and deceit
Lay under wiles of your warmth and charm
Mocked was I, when behind my back
You gossiped and maligned
And there went I with hazy dreams
Imagining our paths intertwined
Shocked was I, to get the hunch
That you were playing games
Out of me you made your lunch
Is there anything by which you feel ashamed?
Mocked was I, when I realized
The wasted time in which I'd fought
To entertain and get to know you
And enjoy mutual rapport
