Dec 2016
I've met my own worst enemy,
I've stared him in the eye,
I've called him names,
I've besmudged his character;
destroyed his reputation.
I've been consumed with hate for him,
and all of that hate has been like burning coal.

Burning coal that burns from within,
the more I hate the more it burns.
I burn with hate for my own worst enemy.
However, now I stand alone,
looking for terms of peace,
it's time to call a truce.

I stare my enemy in the eye,
I smile and he smiles,
from enemies
to brothers in arms.
