The last drops of moonlight
Fall into the sea
A silvery gold
Faint yet eternal

Sunken below deep waters
Never to rise again
Entombed in distant memory
And shrouded by indifferent waves

The wandering stars
Mourn her passing
That sweet watcher of night
Who guided us till the end

O Great Guardian Moon
