I met you in a fall
By a huge wall, painted like a Chinese dragon
I felt the spark instantly.

It was a beautiful fall,
I fell for it all over again!
Pretty colors painted by trees,
thinking it was just for us.
Yellow orange and red,
the colors of friendship and love.

But the leaves started falling slowly, and
the truth of rejection crept in me swiftly.
Leaves on the ground, so bright and beautiful,
shattered like my colorful dreams.
The branches were naked, so as my soul.
It’s fall again - for the trees and for me
