Yesterday you showed me how I should of been
I walked beside you as you held my hand
It was only yesterday you pushed that strand of hair
away from my eyes and caressed the line of my face
The memory of your gaze waits for me around every corner
Like something I was supposed to pick up
I was supposed to keep
I must have put it away somewhere safe
Somewhere no one else would find it
