We would see the only end
As a smiling face
A tidal wave
A new beginning
Seed that holds memory
A melody
A song worth singing
We would revel in it's glory
Embracing chapters
Familiar story
But the stones have grown cold
And a heart beat is just
We would see the only end
As a doorway
A stepping stone
A lesson learned
A childhood haunt
But sad as it seems
We only live once
And night can be much more than dark
